On the show, Lisa reviewed Jeremy Piven’s stand-up set – turns out he did a spot-on Sly Stallone impersonation. Inspired by a colleague, the guys opened the phone and text line to ask listeners what they had bought without permission. Richard Marx phoned in ahead of judging The Voice, chatting about his friendship with Farnsey and jamming with Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh. Hayden Young stopped by with an injury update and thoughts on the upcoming Battle of the Ports. Ben O’Shea reviewed Freakier Friday and in The Shaw Report – Aubrey Plaza was announced to play Heidi Fleiss in a biopic, and Jack Osbourne opened up about his famous dad.

Ben O ′Shea ‐ Freakier Friday: So Stoked For Her

Ben O’Shea dropped in to chat about the sequel to the classic body swap movie - Freakier Friday. He reckoned it was awesome, with both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan delivering standout performances. This time around, Lindsay’s character had a child, and her parenting struggles mirrored Jamie Lee’s role from the original. The film featured a four-way body swap and multiple callbacks to the original, from old boyfriends to bands, all handled with care that long-time fans would appreciate. And what did Ben rate it? You’ll have to tune in to find out.

Hayden Young: I Wasn’t Able To Get Going… It Was Frustrating

Freo’s Hayden Young dropped by the studio to chat with Clairsy & Lisa about the team’s performance against Carlton, who came out firing as the best first-quarter team in the comp. Hayden spoke about the Dockers’ maturity in regaining momentum and not letting teams get a head start. He also gave an important update on his groin injury. Will Fyfe play? Hayden gives his take. Over at West Coast, things went from bad to worse, with Barra calling the Eagles “diabolical” and Coach Andrew McQualter losing his patience in the post-game presser. In netball, the West Coast Fever were handed a heartbreaking one-point loss by the Melbourne Vixens. Barra and Lisa also unpacked the Hungarian Grand Prix results. And in AFL drama, Hawks bad boy Jack Ginnivan was fined $1500 for flipping off Crows fans, later declaring on Instagram it was the “best coin spent.”

On the show Lisa shared the encounter that interrupted her mission to have a quiet drink yesterday afternoon. Actor Danielle Cormack chatted about filming in WA for season three of The Twelve and it inspired Clairsy and Lisa to collect your stories of what happened on jury duty. Clairsy headed to the shops to buy a gift for his wife and had a Pretty Woman moment. Adrian Barich was at the Perth Glory game, and he revealed what is predicted for AC Milan. On The Shaw Report, details of the album for Spinal Tap 2 and how Adam Sandler managed to get Eminem to appear on Happy Gilmore 2. 

Danielle Cormack: A Bittersweet Rivalry Between Them

To celebrate the launch of The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer on Binge, Clairsy & Lisa caught up with actress Danielle Cormack for all the behind-the-scenes goss. She shares what it was like working alongside Sam Neill, filming in the hauntingly beautiful Margaret River, where the landscape becomes a character of its own and how this season brings a fresh feel with new directorial talent. The buzz in the stadium was all about the possibility of AC Milan returning in February to play a Series A points match against Como. Barra also weighed in on AFL – saying if the Eagles win tomorrow, Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin could be in trouble. He tipped the Dockers to win big over Carlton at Optus Stadium on Sunday, and backed West Coast Fever as hot favourites in the netball grand final against the Melbourne Vixens. In the Australia Cup, Olympic Kingsway are making waves as the giant slayers of Australian soccer. And in swimming, Molly O’Callaghan has equaled a record held by Ian Thorpe.

Barra braved the freezing cold to chat with Clairsy & Lisa about a huge weekend in sport. Freo's Hayden Young was named best on ground in just his second game back from injury, while the Eagles copped another blow with Harley Reid ruled out for the season after an ankle injury. Oscar Piastri claimed another win at the Belgian Grand Prix, overtaking Daniel Ricciardo in career victories. In cricket, Tim David’s explosive innings helped the Aussies crush the Windies, and the Australian swim team opened the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore with two golds and a silver. Clairsy & Lisa were freezing as the boiler broke down again. Barra joined Clairsy & Lisa in the studio to chat all things sport. It was a tearful goodbye for Carlton, as Sam Docherty announced his retirement. With the Derby on this weekend, Barra said it was a chance for the Eagles to make a statement or completely ruin Fremantle’s chances. Barra also staked out the airport yesterday in hope of catching AFL agent Nick Gieschen, who was in town amid rumours of a groundbreaking $20 million contract for Harley Reid. While there was no news on the contract, Barra was far more shocked by the price of a small cappuccino at the arrivals gate. Plus, Barra got his creative juices flowing as he imagined what Caleb Serong’s diary entry might’ve looked like after the nail-biting Collingwood match last weekend. Anglicare WA: Homelessness Affects People All Across The Community

With so many in our community doing it tough this winter, Clairsy & Lisa have teamed up with Anglicare WA for Caring Coats - a simple way to help keep someone warm. From now until Friday 8 August, they’re collecting clean, wearable, used or new coats and jackets to pass on to those who need them most. After two weeks off, Clairsy & Lisa are back and wow, there was a lot to catch up on! Barra was full of energy, jumping straight into the big sporting wins over the weekend. Freo knocked off Collingwood at the ‘G, the West Coast Fever dominated in the netball, and our boy Hayden Young was back on the field doing what he does best. Not such great news for the Eagles, but they prevail. As always, Harley Reid gave fans something to smile about. Inspired by a blocked toilet in Clairsy’s hotel room (yes, really), the guys opened the phone lines to hear your best Fawlty Towers-style travel disasters and you delivered! And of course, The Shaw Report was still all over that kiss cam footage everyone’s talking about… plus plenty more.

Barra swung past to update Smiley on all things sport. First up, Barra’s tipping Freo for a win this weekend, especially with Hayden Young making a big return at the MCG against Collingwood. Eagles Coach Andrew McQualter praised our Yeo-y as a seasoned content powerhouse. Barra also dived into the latest cricket drama and is ABSOLUTELY pumped for Perth Fever’s semi-final at RAC Arena on Sunday, and relates to Scottie Scheffler’s reflective take on golf at the British Open in Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, Tour de France fever is strong among Western Suburbs cyclists. Tune in to hear it all.

Hayden Young: Whenever J.L gets on his feet you′re always on the edge of your seat

Hayden Young joined Smiley and Barra in the studio to chat footy and his upcoming return after 66 days on the sidelines, he's feeling better than expected and keen to make a strong comeback this weekend. He’s eager to perform and was inspired by the impressive returns of Jaeger O’Meara and Sam Switkowski over the weekend. Barra described Freo’s win over Hawthorn as one of the club’s best ever, highlighting the record number of tackles and the high stress levels in the coaches’ box. They also touched on Andy Brayshaw splitting his head open twice during the game, with Hayden calling him seriously tough. Now, all eyes are on the Dockers’ big clash against Collingwood this weekend.

West Coast Eagles star Elliot Yeo stopped by for a lively chat with Smiley and our resident sports nut Adrian ‘Barra’ Barich and it didn’t disappoint! Barra kicked things off by getting Elliot’s take on Jack Graham’s four-match suspension, before praising the exciting form of Harley Reid, who's quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Would Elliot have taunted Jason Horne-Francis? Plus, Elliot admitted to some frustration with the team’s current form, showing just how much the boys want to turn things around.

Barra also put Elliot through his paces with a rapid-fire round of questions, including the hot topic: “Who’s the best team on ground right now?” Plus, a cheeky throwback debate, should we bring back the biff? You’ll want to hear Elliot’s answer.

Adrian ‘Barra’ Barich dropped into the studio to chat all things sport. First up, the Dockers rose for Sonny Walters in front of a strong 50,000-strong crowd in what felt like a historic turning point for the club, something has definitely shifted, something’s clicked. With Hayden Young set to return, all eyes are now on their big clash against Collingwood this Sunday. Do they have a chance? Barra thinks it's on. The Eagles showed promise, playing great footy for three quarters, but still couldn’t quite put together the full four. Off-field, Barra had a laugh about getting lip readers involved in on-ground banter after recent controversies. Wimbledon is wrapped up, and the West Coast Fever continue their winning streak.

Adrian ‘Barra’ Barich joined Smiley to talk sport, with pressure mounting on Michael Voss after Carlton’s loss to Brisbane. A huge clash tomorrow as the Dockers face the Hawks,  a win draws them level. Hayden Young remains out, Caleb Serong could be tagged again, and Justin Longmuir’s over the off-field drama. In a shock move, Tim Kelly’s been dropped for West Coast’s game against Port. And, rumours swirl about Gout Gout performing at the AFL Grand Final. Meanwhile, Queensland clinch the State of Origin, Wimbledon finals hit this weekend, and the West Coast Fever keep their winning streak alive.

Ben O′Shea: The Best Superman since Christopher Reeve.

Film guru Ben O’Shea joined the show to discuss the latest superhero blockbuster, Superman. Smiley asked, “Was David Corenswet convincing as the new Man of Steel?” Maybe not as impressive a specimen, but yes.  The film is fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Nicholas Hoult is great as Lex Luthor, possibly the best since Gene Hackman, but the two real scene-stealers might come as a surprise.  Director James Gunn, the creative force behind the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, brings a loving and thoughtful approach to this film. Smiley asked Ben, “How many Choc Tops out of five did you give it?” Tune in to find out.

Hayden popped in for a chat with Smiley and Barra this morning where they chatted about Hayden’s rehab, he’s almost back on the field and strength numbers have never been better. Elliot Yeo joined Barra this morning where they chatted about the progress of his slow recovery from injury and what he is made to do by the club during the games when he's not playing. Barra asked him if he's sick of people asking when he's coming back to play and he gave his thoughts on new players Jobe Shanahan and Malakai Champion. Barra then moved on to Dom Sheed's retirement and got Elliot's reaction to the news and with the news that AFL State of Origin is getting closer to reality, Elliot gave Barra his controversial theory on how it should be played out.

Barra joined Smiley this morning after a massive weekend in sport including West Coast Fever making the Grand Final after 11 straight wins, a bad weekend for the Eagles and the Dockers however Barra was singing the praises of Freo's Murphy Reid, plus he had another of those passionate Carlton fans calling another radio station and giving his team a very honest character assessment. As well as that Matilda's game in Bunbury where 10,000 fans turned up, Lando Norris wins the British GP and all the latest action in the cricket and at Wimbeldon.

Lisa had all the latest news on The Shaw Report - Quentin Tarantino favourite Michael Madsen died at the age of 67 and Ringo Starr has notes. The Beatles drummer went head-to-head with Sam Mendes asking for two-days’ worth of revisions to his life story for an upcoming biopic. Barra joined the guys to chat all things sport, and it’s been a massive week for retirements in footy. First up, the hero of the Eagle 2018 premiership Dom Sheed retired earlier in the week and then Dockers fan favourite Sonny Walters hung up his boots just yesterday. In classic Barra style he was full of facts - did you know Sonny, Chris Yarran and Nick Nat all grew up on the same street? The Eagle’s eighth debutante Malakai Champion played his first game, which lead the guys to discuss the great sporting names – Tiger Woods, anyone? Barra reckons The Eagles could win this weekend and the guys don’t seem sold on the idea. Wimbledon top seeds are losing in droves and West Coast Fever aim for another win this weekend.
